Introduction

A QR Digital Gateway is a hub that acts as a source of assistance for all visitors at your location. Scanning any of these Digital Gateway’s with a smartphone will provide visitors a link to access the Explorer map to help find their way around the location.

You are expected to have created a Digital Sign through Map Editor.
To learn how to do this, click here.

We will start off with configuring our Digital Sign inside Digital Sign Manager

Steps

1. In the PAM navigation menu, go to 360 Planner > Digital Signs

2. Select DIGITAL SIGN MAP tab

3. Find the Digital Sign you have created on the map. You can also do this by searching up the name of the Digital Sign on the left-hand side. The name of the Digital Sign is the dictionary item you gave it when creating the sign in Map Editor

Hint: All newly created Digital Signs will have a red coloured arrow stating that it is not configured.

4. Click on the sign once located. The right-hand side pop up will appear, click on the dropdown

5. Select Digital Gateway from the options

6. A QR code will appear which is the Explorer feature. Scan the QR code with your smartphone

7. DOWNLOAD: This lets you download the QR Code and print it out to post on any physical signage

8. OPEN LINK: This lets you open up a new tab which activates Explorer on your browser

9. Look back on the map and notice that instead of an arrow, you now have a QR code icon. This signifies that this sign is specifically a Digital Gateway sign

10. Save changes
