Import icons or logos into PAM

In this article, you will learn how to upload icons and logos into PAM.

Uploading icons and logos is an easy process but you will only be able to use them once you have created dictionary items to assign them into.

This process has been split into 2 separate articles:

  1. Preparing icons or logos to be imported to PAM

  2. How to import icons or logos into PAM (current article)

This article has been divided up into sections for your convenience.

Adding Icon Categories

First we will create icon categories. Every time you upload an icon, it must belong to a category.
If your intended category already exists then you do not need to repeat this step unless you want to create a new category.

Steps

1. In the PAM navigation menu go to Library > Icons

2. The current icon categories is visible on the left-hand side of the page

3. Click on the [+ ADD CATEGORY] button on the bottom right-hand side

4. Name your icon category (i.e. Random)

5. Set the colour scheme of your icon and background for light and dark map mode

6. Always enable Available on destination dictionary items to allow icons to be shown on eXplorer map.

7. Enable Enabled oversize icons (200 x 200px) if you have any icons or logos larger than 24 x 24px.

8. Save changes
