Explorer - Promotions

In this article, we will show you how to understand the layout of the Promotions section while viewing and using Explorer on your smartphone device.

Configuring Promotions

The way Promotions is presented inside Explorer, is influenced by the settings you configure inside PAM OS.

This means Promotions on Explorer will mimic what is set for the Interactive Kiosk as Explorer is essentially the smartphone version of the Interactive Kiosk.

When you make a change in Interactive Kiosk (i.e. remove Starbucks), this will also remove Starbucks from Explorer.

Please click on the article below for a thorough explanation on how to create / remove Promotions.
Adding Promotions to a Tenant

Viewing Promotions on Explorer

A QR code is required to gain access into the Explorer map. You can find this inside PAM OS.

Steps

1. In the PAM navigation menu, go to 360 Planner > Digital Sign

2. Select DIGITAL SIGN MAP tab

3. Select on the map, search or use the filter section to find an Interactive Kiosk

4. On the right-hand side pop out stay on the GENERAL tab

5. Scroll to the bottom and scan the QR code with your smartphone device

Now, you should see Explorer load on your smartphone device. You may need to wait for a moment for it to fully load depending on your smartphone.

6. Click on the promotions tab on the bottom

You should now see the promotions interface with all created promotions.

If you don’t have any promotions created, the section will just be empty.
Refer to this link to learn how to create promotions: Adding Promotions to a Tenant

7. The title confirms you are on the right section

8. This is the general location / area where these promotions are happening and can be found.

9. Select the filters to show specific promotions (i.e. clicking on ALL will show all promotions)

10. This is the tenant location of where the promotion can be redeemed. (i.e. Nike store will have Nike promotions available)

Remember that promotions exist because a tenant is linked to them. Promotions cannot exist without a tenant because the tenant is the location where the promotion is found.

11. Promotion title

12. End date of the promotion

13. Photo of the promotion

14. The Explore tab lets you click on other general areas that may contain promotions which are not in the vicinity of a certain area (i.e. we have clicked on Sofi Stadium which means all promotions that are part of Sofi Stadium will be shown)

Selecting a Promotion

We will click on a promotion to find out what other fields you can see.

1. For our example, we will click on the $4.95 Fill Up Deal promotion

2. We can see a bigger image preview of the promotion with all its information including the tenant that offers this promotion and the offer end date at the bottom

3. Click the back button to return to the promotions page

4. Click the share button to share a link of the promotion you are currently on to a friend (i.e. in this example it’s the $4.95 fill up promo)

Additional Promotions

5. If there is another promotion happening at the same place / tenant you can see it below. Clicking on it will take you to that promotion

6. Selecting [TAKE ME THERE] will give you directions to the tenant where the promotion is being held.
If your location is turned on, it will automatically calculate the directions but if your location is turned off, you will need to select your starting location

7. Selecting [MORE INFO] takes you to a related website for more information on that promotion.

When we clicked on another promotion (i.e. clicking on $8 Bucket Tuesdays) we can see the following

8. Same arrangement of information as we saw when we were inside the $4.95 fill up deal promotion

9. Additional promotions can also be seen. The $4.95 fill up deal is now in this section because we have clicked into another promotion

10. Select [TAKE ME THERE] to be shown where the tenant is located on the map

11. We can see where the tenant is located on the map. In this example, KFC is the tenant that holds this particular promotion

12. You will need to select your starting location to be able to generate directions to KFC. Alternatively, if you are within the vicinity of the area, you can share your location and it will automatically show directions based on where you currently are on the map

Can’t make your promotion appear?

Remember that you can only create promotions through PAM.
