In this article, users will learn how to create thresholds in Map Editor.

The information below has been divided into sections for your convenience if needed.

Why do we use thresholds?

  • Thresholds are the transition point between PAM’s internal data and any external map data. Users will be able to connect their navigation route to external locations outside their venue

  • Users will be able to fully control the traffic within their location (ie. block a route due to an emergency and detour navigation route)

Creating thresholds

Steps

1. In the PAM navigation board, go to 360 Manager > Map editor

2. On the right side, underneath the heading Routing Tools, click on Threshold

3. Place thresholds at every road that intersects your location with the external location

4. The small blue circle indicates that a threshold has been successfully created

5. Save changes

Result of making thresholds

Once the user has gone around the map marking out thresholds, the end result should look similar to the photo below. Notice that each threshold (blue circle) created is intersecting with external roads outside the venue.
