Configuring Experiences

Note

The way Experiences is presented inside Explorer, is influenced by the settings you configure inside PAM OS.

This means Experiences on Explorer will mimic what is set for the Interactive Kiosk as Explorer is the smartphone version of the Interactive Kiosk.

When you make a change in Interactive Kiosk (i.e. decide to create / edit / delete an Experience), this will appear automatically inside Explorer if you choose to activate it.

Creating a new experience

Activating an Experience to be seen on Explorer

Follow these steps after if you need to learn how to activate an Experience to be shown on Explorer.

4. Activate the [Show this experience on explorer] toggle.

5. Click the dropdown and choose from either “hours before” or “days before”

6. Put in a number (i.e. 1) This means the experience will be shown on explorer either 1 hour before or 1 day before it’s intended start time.

Save changes when complete (you will find this if you scroll to the bottom on the lower right-hand side)

Viewing Experiences on Explorer

A QR code is required to gain access into the Explorer map. You can get this inside PAM OS

Now, you should see Explorer load up on your smartphone device. You may need to wait for a moment for it to fully load depending on your smartphone.

6. Click on the Experiences tab (bottom right)
We can see there is a number eight because that is how many Experiences you currently have on Explorer.

13. Photo of the Experience . (A a photo is always needed)

14. The Explore tab lets you click on other general areas that may contain other Experiences which isn’t in the vicinity of a certain area. (i.e. We have clicked on Hollywood Park District which means all Experiences that are part of Hollywood Park District will be shown)

Clicking into an Experience

When you click into an Experience (i.e. We have chosen Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness), you will see the following:

1. Status of the Experience . (i.e. Now On)

2. Experience name

6. Description of the Experience

7. Selecting [Take me thereTAKE ME THERE] will give you directions to the Experience location. If your location isn’t shared, you will need to select your starting location.

8. Selecting [Find out moreFIND OUT MORE] will send you to an external website with more information on that Experience which could include where to buy tickets to the Experience.

Connected Experiences

Continue to scroll down and you may see more Experiences listed at the bottom if they have been linked together. Connected Experiences mean that there are similar experiences happening at another location / happening at a different date. This is useful as customers will be aware of other similar experiences that may be suited to their taste.

9. If you have more than one Experience happening at the same location, you can see them here.
This is useful for your customers as they will know what other Experiences are occurring at the venue.

10. As an example, let’s click on Wandavision

11. You will see the same level of detail but with different information as you are now on another experience.

12. The original Experience we have clicked on before can be seen at the bottom as part of the Connected Experiences since it has been linked as a similar experience.

13. Click on [Take me thereTAKE ME THERE] to get directions to where Wandavision is happening

14. We can see where the tenant is located on the map. In this example, Sofi Stadium is the location that is hosting this particular experience.

15. You will need to select your starting location to be able to generate directions to Sofi Stadium. Alternatively, if you are within the vicinity of the area, you can share your location and it will automatically show directions based on where you currently are.
