In this article, we will show you the process on submitting a request for a 3D model to be created for your account to use inside PAM.

When requesting for a 3D model, please keep in mind, it can take up to 1 week before the request is completed. We ask that you submit a request as early as practically possible in order to receive it back on time for your account.

Please read PAM’s requirements for 3D models.

  • All 3D models have to be in a .glb file

    • A .glb file is the file type PAM requires for upload purposes

  • Any colour can be included on the 3D model

  • All 3D models are built to scale (e.g. A building 10 meters tall in real life will be built 10 meters tall in 3D software.)

  • Recommended sizes for different kinds of 3D models

    • Large - 500kb - 350kb (architectural models, stadium, bridge, opera house)

    • Medium - 100kb (branding, landmarks, logos, smaller building structures)

    • Small - 50kb - (vegetation, decorative material, small objects)

      • The sizes are a guide as creating models that are too big when they can be a smaller file size might decrease performance speeds.

Pricing
For every 3D model you request, a fee is incurred to cover the costs of the time and labour to create the model.

The pricing structure for the below requests will be outlined inside your proposal:

  • Requesting for an architectural feature 3D model (for any structured building or a large model)

  • Requesting for smaller sized 3D models (for any waypoint / sponsored feature / small objects)

3D models may be included in your licensing / set-up fees, if you are not sure please contact your Support for more information.
