In this article, we will be showing you a feature inside the Directory tab that will help to show location names and also being able to include some customisation in adding a photo as a background to the location name.

The purpose of having different location names in Explorer is for the convenience of the customer to choose a specific location name (i.e. Retail District) and only the tenants that are located inside (i.e. Retail District) will pop up. This will tell the customer that these locations in a specific location.

Opening Explorer to view the locations that contain your tenants

Steps

1. In the PAM navigation menu, go to 360 Planner > Digital Signs

2. Select Digital Sign TabMap

3. Choose an Interactive Kiosk digital sign (i.e. They usually start with P 4.2)

4. On the right-hand side, scroll down and scan the QR Code with your smartphone device[INSERT SCREENSHOT]

5. Open up Explorer on your smartphone device and click on the Directory tab

Depending on your prior settings, you may have the incorrect location names or none at all. We will address this in the following sections.

7. We have clicked on Theatre and only the tenants that are located in the Theatre location are showing

Adding a background photo to your location name

Behind the location names, there is a background photo allocated to it, as shown below [INSERT SCREENSHOT]

To configure them, we have to understand that these location names are also known as Dictionary Item names. This means that you need the location names your locations to be created as Dictionary Items to have them appear.

We will walk you through our Theater location name as an example

Steps

1. In the PAM navigation menu, go to Dictionary > Destination Dictionary

3. Upon clicking it, scroll down and you will see the photo Digital Properties section.

4. We have the PAM logo uploaded as the photo for this dictionary item. This is the same photo that you can see have seen in Explorer. Please remember that the image size required is 1920 x 1280 px and it automatically adjusts the photo for you in Explorer.

5. Click clear to remove the photo and upload another photo for your dictionary item. We will upload another photo to show the changes 6as we will now change the photo to something else.

4. We will enable Content Source. This means that if this is activated, it will show all tenants that are inside the perimeter of Stadium Precinct when Explorer is being used as well as on the Interactive Kiosk

5. We recommend also enabling Display as boundary as this shows you an outline of how much area the location covers. We have drawn an outline on how big the boundary is in black.

6. Since ‘Stadium Precinct’ is an Area AREA feature type, it needs to have LEVEL feature types as children linked to it. This is crucial as tenants are UNIT feature types and can only be linked with LEVEL feature types hence why we need this link.

Tenants can only be placed in UNIT feature types and UNITS are children of LEVEL feature types.

8. Click on the Directory tab and ‘Stadium Precinct’

9. 'Stadium Precinctshould now be there. We had added a background photo of a pizza prior to this hence why it is showing the pizza photo.
