In this article, we will give you a quick introduction on how to make full use of the filters feature in PAM.
Filters are useful in areas where there may be lots of content. Activating the correct filter will help reduce confusion and show only what you need to see.

The filters feature is only available inside Map Editor, Digital Sign Manager and Parking Manager.

Using Filters in Map Editor

Steps

1. In the PAM navigation menu, go to 360 Studio > Map Editor

2. Select FILTERS on the left-hand side to open up the filters

3. We will select Retail and Food Court as our filter settings

4. Activate 'Filter on Map' toggle

This is important as you can select what you want to filter but if you leave this deactivated, it will not show up on the map.

5. Notice how the map has changed (compare photo below with photo above). We are now left with only Retail and Food Court feature types as indicated with the light blue shapes

6. It is much easier to click and find the correct content. We will click into one of them

7. The settings on the right-hand side for customisation will appear

8. When you are done using the filter feature, you will need to select 'Clear filters' to return the map to it’s original state

Hint: If you see a green pulse appear on the filters section, it means there are filters currently active

If you forget to clear filters, the next time you come into Map Editor, the same filters will remain active. This means you will still see only Retail and Food Court feature types on Map Editor until you clear them. As it is easy to forget that you have filters activated, it is recommended to clear them before exiting

Using Filters in Digital Sign Manager

Steps

1. In the PAM navigation menu, go to 360 Planner > Digital Signs

2. Select DIGITAL SIGN MAP tab

3. Select FILTERS on the left-hand side to open up the filters

4. We will select Interactive Kiosk as our filter settings

5. Activate ‘Filter on Map’ toggle

This is important as you can select what you want to filter but if you leave this deactivated, it will not show up on the map.

6. Now the map has changed and you can only see Interactive Kiosk signs on the map

7. Also underneath the filter settings, you are shown a list of signs. These signs are a list of all existing Interactive Kiosks. The filter will show you where a specific sign type is located but will also provide a list of what you choose to filter

8. We will click on an Interactive Kiosk sign on the map

9. The settings on the right-hand side for customisation will appear

10. When you are done using the filter feature, you will need to select 'Clear filters' to return the map to it’s original state

Hint: If you see a green pulse appear on the filters section, it means there are filters currently active

If you forget to clear filters, the next time you come into Digital Sign Manager, the same filters will remain active. This means you will only see Interactive Kiosk signs on DSM until you clear them. As it is easy to forget that you have filters activated, it is recommended to clear them before exiting.

Using Filters in Parking Manager

In Parking Manager, if you do not have a multi-level carpark feature type created in Map Editor then the filter section still appears but doesn’t do anything because there are only two possible types.

Multi-level carpark and Parking

You don’t need to filter anything if Parking is the only feature type being used.

Steps

1. In the PAM navigation menu, go to 360 Planner > Parking

2. Select the filters section on the left-hand side to open up the filters

3. We will select Parking as our filter settings

4. Activate 'Filter on Map' toggle

This is important as you can select what you want to filter but if you leave this deactivated, it will not show up on the map.

5. Also underneath the filter settings, you are shown a list of parking lots. This is a list of all existing parking lots who are under the feature type parking. The filter will show you the parking lot signs on the map but will also provide a list of what you choose to filter

6. We can see all the parking lots with the parking feature type on the map

7. We will click into one of the parking lots to customise them

8. The customisation settings appear on the right-hand side

9. Save changes when complete

10. When you are done using the filter feature, you will need to select 'Clear filters' to return the map to it’s original state

Hint: If you see a green pulse appear on the filters section, it means there are filters currently active.

If you forget to clear filters, the next time you come into Parking Manager, the same filters will remain active. This means you will only see the Parking feature type appear on Parking Manager until you clear them. As it is easy to forget that you have filters activated, it is recommended to clear them before exiting
