In this article, you will learn how to use Parking Manager. This feature is only available for authorised users (please check eligibility with your administrator) and allows you to control and manage the information of parking lots through configuring parking status, availability and rates. Afterwards, the user is exposed to two different features within Parking Manager.

1. Scene planning. This feature allows for the pre-planning and inputting of parking information into different scenes before it needs to be activated. For example, a user can plan a scene before an experience is set to happen. When the experience is happening, the user will be able to switch scenes with the necessary parking information at any given time

2. Live overrides. This feature is most useful for unexpected situations that happen during an experience and where an immediate update is required to change parking information instantly.

The information below consists of more details on using Parking Manager, the sections have been divided for your convenience, if needed.

There are 3 ‘sign types’ of parking signs

The different signage below shows a visual representation of how Parking information is interpreted and seen by customers.

P5.2 - Parking Entry Sign

V3.2 - Vehicular Directional Sign

P4.2 - Interactive Kiosk

Using Parking Manager

Steps

1. Go to 360 Manager > Parking

2. Select the parking lot on the map

3. Set Available Spaces (i.e. 1000 parking spaces available)

4. Set the current status of the chosen parking lot to either - OPEN, RESERVED, FULL or CLOSED

Note: Setting a CLOSED status will remove any directional messaging from digital signs.

5. Set Rate A (i.e. fee of $10 per hour)

6. Set Period A (i.e. per hr or day)

7. Set Rate B (i.e. fee of $30 per hour)

8. Set Period B (i.e. per hr or day)

9. Save changes

Scene Planning for Parking

Initially, parking lot properties are planned across ‘scenes’, for example:

1. Parking Lot B may be CLOSED in ‘Default Scene’, however during an 'Emergency Scene', Parking Lot B is OPEN

2. Parking Lot B may cost $20/hr in ‘Default Scene', however during an 'Emergency Scene’, Parking Lot B is $10/hr.

The green colours are active overrides.

These Scenes are managed by the Project Planner. To make adjustments or additions to a scene, contact your PAM Account Manager or your Administrator.

Live Overrides

If plans change, the ability to override a parking lot ‘status’ or ‘available spaces’ can be achieved in Live Overrides. This will override scene properties and will be used for that purpose only.

Steps

Role: Operations Manager should be the one to do this process

1. Go to 360 Manager > Parking

2. Select the scenes dropdown next to the save button and click Live Overrides

3. Select the Parking Lot (i.e. Experience Parking B ) you wish to implement Live Overrides

4. You can use the status bar on the bottom as a guide to refer to the current status of the Parking Lot

5. In Live Overrides, you can only change Available Spaces and Status

6. Save changes to activate the live overrides

7. Once live overrides are no longer needed, click on [RESET OVERRIDES] to reset Live Overrides back to default

HINT: Please remember to always save changes no matter how small AND if other pages are opened in different tabs, you must refresh them for the changes to be seen.

For example, in this article, the user may have Map Editor and Parking Manager opened in different tabs. When changes to Map Editor have been saved, the Parking Manager tab needs to be refreshed to see the new changes.
