User Types

Access within PAM is strictly governed through the allocation of user types, each of which has its own level of permissions in the system.

Administrator

Administrators use PAM to set up user accounts, access reports and add new project information to the PAM platform. The Administrator will add in new buildings, roads or pedestrian ways, then work with the Planner to make sure all the implementation steps are completed. Finally, the Administrator is responsible for implementing new Scenes and Playbooks into PAM.

Planner

Planners work in conjunction with the management team to understand how vehicles and pedestrians make their way through the project and plan content accordingly. This process is expected to be continuous, and evolve as operational learnings are recognised at the site. The Planner uses PAM to document all this information and record the exact location and content of each planned sign.

Manager

Managers keep the project running and is responsible for making sure the visitor experience is optimal. The primary responsibility, therefore, is to make sure all navigation touchpoints are providing accurate information. For the most part, that means making sure the correct scene is activated and operating, and that signs are showing the right information. The Operations Manager will also identify updates that are necessary to improve the overall visitor experience.

Agent

Agents have the least amount of privileges and report to an Operations Manager. They are usually tasked with a single, specific purpose which is generally updating content based on requests raised up by Administrators, Planners and Managers. For example, when duplicating a scene they may be solely tasked with updating the digital signs. Another example is they may be tasked with opening and closing parking lots. Any content changes an Agent makes will require approval by a Manager or Administrator before changes are published live.

Adding new users

New users are added by the PAM Administrator. When you are added to PAM you will receive an email containing a link to the PAM login page, your username (typically your email) and password.

Updating user information

You can update your information and password at any time by clicking on your avatar in the top right-hand corner of the navigation menu and then clicking on My Profile.
