In this article, we will show you how to create promotions for your tenants.

The information below includes details on how to set up promotions, the sections have been divided for your convenience, if needed.


What are promotions?

Promotions refer to a set of activities, that communicate the product, brand or service to the customer / user.
The primary aim of having promotions is for the customer / user to buy the product or utilise the services of the seller over other competitors due to an added incentive of a generous discount or limited time only promotional prices on a product or service.


How do promotions relate to a tenant?

All tenants provide some form of service and / or sell a specific product for the customer / user to utilise.
Promotions are necessary for tenants to include in their business to attract and retain customers. When a tenant is created in PAM, you will be able to increase a tenant’s appeal by including promotions that are viewable and easily recognised by customers.


How to create promotions

HINT: A promotion belongs to 1 tenant only. If there are no tenants, you cannot create promotions.
If there are multiple tenants of the same name but in different locations, you will need to create a new promotion each time.
If there are many different tenants, each one will need it’s own promotion to be created.

Steps
1. In the PAM navigation board, go to Dictionary > Tenants Directory

2. Choose a tenant and select the edit button

If you DO NOT have any tenants created, you FIRST need to create a tenant before PROCEEDING with this article.

3. Click on the PROMOTIONS tab on the top

4. You can select filters to show specific promotions according to the options listed. (i.e. Selecting now on will show all active promotions) If you have no existing promotions inside your selected tenant then proceed to the next step.

5. Click on NEW PROMOTION to create a promotion


6. Put in the name of the promotion (i.e. 11-2pm Lunch Special)

7. Choose a date and time for when this promotion will start

8. Choose a date and time for when this promotion will end

9. Adjust TEXT COLOUR of promotion title name. Default is black

10. Adjust BACKGROUND COLOUR for promotion title name. Default is white.

11. Select Upload to insert an image of the promotion

Please make sure the image is 1080 x 1080 px or it will not upload

12. Include a URL link for the user to be directed to when they scan the QR Code

13. Select the dropdown and choose where to display the QR Code in your image.
In the example below, we kept the QR Code on the bottom left.

14. Prompt text - You can include text to appear under the QR Code (i.e. More Info)

15. Activate Prompt text on dark background which makes prompt text white (Step 14) if background photo is dark

16. Switch on the Activate toggle to make the promotion active and viewable in the Interactive Kiosk

17. Save changes


How to view promotions on Interactive Kiosk

Steps
1. In the PAM navigation board, go to 360 Planner > Digital Signs

2. Select DIGITAL SIGN MAP

3. Click on an Interactive Kiosk digital sign (the layout should say Interactive Kiosk)

4. Click on SIGN ID (this will open up a new tab)


5. Click on the Green Dollar Icon

6. The PROMOTIONS heading will be visible to show you are on the right section.

7. You can see all created promotions in your account.

Please be reminded that you need to activate the promotions toggle to show them in the Kiosk.

8. Click on a promotion for more detail (i.e. Kebab Lunch Special)


9. If you elected to include a QR Code, you can scan this for more information on the promotion

10. You can see promotion name

11. You can see tenant name. (The place where the promotion is held)

12. You can see promotion end date.

13. You can see all other promotions from the same tenant below. A tenant may choose to advertise more than one promotion. This will not be visible if there are no other promotions from the tenant available.

14. The promotion is clickable and doing so will transfer you to that promotion.

15. The kiosk will also show you directions to get to the tenant from your kiosk location if you want to take advantage of the promotion.


Where do I go if I can’t view my promotions?

If you have already created a tenant and a promotion but still cannot see the promotion in the Interactive Kiosk then you may have done one of the following

  1. Promotions card is activated but Tenant card is deactivated

  2. Tenant card is activated but promotions card is deactivated

The tenants directory always needs to be activated even if a promotion is activated already. Turning off the tenants directory will make the tenant unviewable in the Interactive Kiosk which also makes the promotion unviewable as it is directly connected to the tenant.

Activating tenant card

1. In the PAM navigation menu go to Dictionary > Tenants directory

2. Switch on the toggle of the tenant that is disabled. (i.e. Wandavision) This will automatically make your promotion viewable, provided that it had already been switched on. If your promotions card is also disabled, continue to read the next section of the article


Activating promotions card

Step
1. In the PAM navigation menu go to Dictionary > Tenants directory

2. Click on the edit button of a tenant that contains the promotion you want to be seen.
In this example, we will choose Aladdin because we know there is already a promotion inside.


3. Click on promotions


4. Switch on the toggle to activate and make the promotion card visible on Interactive Kiosk.
This will save automatically.


Promotions Global Configuration Settings

The settings in this section, will affect all Interactive Kiosks in a single account.

Steps
1. In the PAM navigation menu go to 360 Planner > Digital Signs

2. Click on SIGN CONFIGURATION

3. Click on Interactive Kiosk

4. Click on Menu

5. Activate toggle to enable promotions to be seen in the Interactive Kiosk
The default setting is the promotions icon being disabled.

6. Click on Promotion Icon Colour to change the colour of how the icon will look in the Kiosk
The default colour is green

7. Save changes


Promotions Individual Configuration Settings

The settings in this section, will only affect an individual Interactive Kiosk in a single account.

Steps
1. In the PAM navigation menu go to 360 Planner > Digital Signs

2. Click on DIGITAL SIGN

3. Select an Interactive Kiosk Digital Sign

4. On the right-hand side, click on Menu

5. You can choose to either activate the toggle to enable promotions or deactivate the toggle to disable promotions to be seen on this specific Interactive Kiosk. Whatever changes is selected here, you will only see this change occur for this Kiosk only.

If you had activated promotions on global settings, the Kiosk will show promotions by default so what you choose here inside the individual settings will override the global settings.

Also note, that configuring the colour of the icon is only done through the global settings.

6. Save changes.
