As an example, a user may want a new scene closely identical in content to an existing scene but with minor changes. If a completely new scene was to be created from scratch, this would be labour intensive and time-consuming. By introducing duplicate scenes, a user can duplicate an existing scene and make changes to the content in the duplicated scene without having to touch existing scenes.
