What is the Distance Ring used for?

The distance ring provides you a visual guide on walking distance based on the current location of the kiosk.

PAM OS

Within Settings we are going to have a new tab ‘Map Styles and Configuration’

When this selected users will have the ability to edit MAPBOX STYLES and DISTANCE RING.

The distance ring provides the user with a visual guide on walking distance in time.

At different zoom levels Please be aware that when the distance ring configuration settings are changed, these changes will apply across all kiosks as the distance ring is a universal feature only. This means when you change the colour or configure the walking times and zoom levels, this is applied to all kiosks.

Configuring your Distance Ring Settings

Steps

1. In the PAM navigation menu, go to Settings

2. Click on the tab Map Configuration on the left side panel

3. Click on the DISTANCE RING tab

4. Set Distance Ring Configuration

4a. Time refers to the visual guide on walking distance based on the time set

4b. Zoom refers to the different levels of zoom at which the distance ring will adjust to show different walking times. Please configure the walking times and zoom levels below.

The distance ring is currently ONLY for KIOSK.

The label may go off screen at time the user drag the map around.time

The default settings for time and zoom are:

  1. Time - 1 and Zoom - 17

  2. Time - 3 and Zoom - 16.3

  3. Time - 5 and Zoom - 14.5

  4. Time - 15 and Zoom - 12

5. Colours refer to setting the text and ring label colours for both dark and light mode when using the kiosk

How to view your Interactive Kiosk map

1. In the PAM navigation menu, click on 360 Planner > Digital Sign

2. Select the Digital Sign Map tab

3. Select an Interactive Kiosk digital sign (sign layout needs to say Interactive Kiosk)

4. Click on the link underneath SignID

You will then be able to see the Interactive Kiosk on your computer device.

Based on the configuration that has been set, you can see the different distance ring configurations in dark and light map mode.

Dark mode
