In this article, we will show you the process on submitting a request for getting a 3D model to be created for your account for usage to use inside PAM.

When submitting a request for a 3D model, please keep in mind that it can take up to 1 week before the request is completed. We ask that you submit a request as early as you find out that you require a model to be created in order to get it back on time for your account.

Note

Please read the requirements on what PAM requires for 3D models.

  • All 3D models have to be in a .glb file

    • This is needed as this is the file type that PAM accepts when it is time for upload

  • Colour can be included on the model

  • The model should be All 3D models are built to scale . (e.g. If a building 10 meters tall in real life should be built 10 meters in 3D software)

  • Recommended sizes for different kinds of 3D model

    • Large - 500kb - 350kb (architectural models, stadium, bridge, opera house)

    • Medium - 100kb (branding, landmarks, logos, smaller building structures)

    • Small - 50kb - (vegetation, decorative material, small objects)

      • This is needed or else having models that are too big when they can be smaller, may make your account slowermay decrease performance speeds.

Pricing guide

For every 3D model you request, a fee will be incurred to cover the costs of the time and labour to create the design.

As a general guide, the pricing structure may be as follows:

  • Requesting for an architectural feature 3D model (for any structured building or a large model) will be $500

  • Requesting for smaller sized 3D models (for any waypoint / sponsored feature) will be $200

These prices may be included in your licensing / set-up fees so if you are not sure please contact your Administrator or account manager for more information.

Steps

You will need to have an account to access our PAM support helpdesk portal

1. Go into https://mediabankpam.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portals
You should see the [Welcome to the PAM support portal] heading.

If you are asked to log-in, please use the same log-in details you used when you were invited into the support portal.

If you are unable to log-in because your account doesn’t exist, you will need to contact your Administrator for assistance to be able to receive an invite to access the PAM portal.

2. Scroll to the bottom and click on [Need to raise a request? Contact us] section

This will load into a new page

4. Disclaimer that it can take up to 1 week to complete the request

5. Raise this request on behalf of: Put in your name as you are the one creating the request

11. Check your email account (the email you used to log into the support portal) and you will receive a ticket confirming that your request went through. You will also get a link to track your request as it progresses.

Once you receive the confirmation request on your email, the way to track the progress of your request is to click on the provided link that will show you which shows all the information related to your request and it’s progress.

14. Leave notifications on to be updated of the progress

15. Cancel request if you change your mind / don’t need it to be done anymorecancel this request. (The earlier you know, the better as we will not know if you change your mind without clicking this button)

16. Add a comment if you need to make adjustments to your request or have any more extra information to give for your request.
