Create Dictionary Categories

Before a user adds a destination dictionary item into PAM, the user will need to create Categories for their destinations (locations).

PAM recommends creating the following Destination Categories:

PAM automatically generates the following Tenant Categories:

Steps

1. On the PAM navigation board, click on Dictionary > Categories

2. Click on [+ ADD CATEGORY] > Users have the option of adding a new category for two three dictionary types, Destination, Messaging and Messaging Tenant

3. Add a category Identifier - A short CODE to Identify Category (i.e. For all Primary Destinations, the Identifier is PRIMARY)

For this example, we chose to create a Destination Category. The same method can be applied to creating a Messaging or Tenant Category.

Create Destination Dictionaries: Once all categories have been created, the user will need to create Destination Dictionaries

  2. Bybulk import
