Grouping of content based on Location Hierarchy

In this article, we will show how Tenant Directories content can be grouped by Locations.

Overview

When creating your map within PAM the ‘Location Hierarchy’ is created through the Parent Child relationship, similar to a Tree Menu.

It is important the Location Hierarchy is created correctly. Read about the Location Hierarchy

Lets use the following Stadium Site Structure as an example

  • Venue (Stadium Site)

    • Area 1 (Retail District)

      • Parking Level

      • Building 1

        • Level G

          • Tenant 1

          • Tenant 2

          • Tenant 3

          • Tenant 4

      • Building 2

        • Level 1

          • Tenant 5

          • Tenant 6

      • Building 3

        • Level 1

          • Tenant 7

          • Tenant 8

    • Area 2 (Stadium District)

      • Stadium

        • Level 1

          • Tenant 9

          • Tenant 10

        • Level 2

          • Tenant 11

          • Tenant 12

      • Theater

        • Level

          • Tenant 13

          • Tenant 14

    • Area (Residential Area)

      • Building C

        • Level G

          • Tenant 15

          • Tenant 16

By default the root venue feature ‘Venue ( Stadium Site )’ will always be enabled as the main ‘Content Source’, and will display ALL tenants within the environment.

In a Parent Child Account Setup ALL child clients will also appear as Separate Content Sources in the Parent client

Enabling a locations as a ‘Content Source’

Selecting specific locations with the following feature types (Level, Area or Building) within Map Editor will allow you to activate ‘Enable as a Content Source’. By enabling this feature the ‘Location’ will be treated as a ‘Content Source’ therefore enabling it as an option in the tenant directory when using the Interactive Kiosk.

This is the result when you open up Directory in the Interactive Kiosk

This creates the ability to individually create separate directories based on client needs. Using the above Interactive Kiosk example, we may select Theater, Sofi Stadium & North Plaza as Content Sources.

This would allow us to add an Interactive Kiosk within the Retail District that does not include Sofi Stadium or Theater tenant information
