In this article, we will show you the process on submitting a request for getting a 3D model created for your account for usage inside PAM.

When submitting a request for a 3D model, please keep in mind that it can take up to 1 week before the request is completed. We ask that you submit a request as early as you find out that you require a model to be created in order to get it back on time for your account.

Please read the requirements on what PAM requires for 3D models.

  • All 3D models have to be in a .glb file

    • This is needed as this is the file type that PAM accepts when it is time for upload

  • Colour can be included on the model

  • The model should be built to scale. (e.g. If a building 10 meters tall in real life should be built 10 meters in 3D software)

  • Recommended sizes for different kinds of 3D model

    • Large - 500kb - 350kb (architectural models, stadium, bridge, opera house)

    • Medium - 100kb (branding, landmarks, logos, smaller building structures)

    • Small - 50kb - (vegetation, decorative material, small objects)

      • This is needed or else having models that are too big when they can be smaller, may make your account slower.

Pricing guide

For every 3D model you request, a fee will be incurred to cover the costs of the time and labour to create the design.

As a general guide, the pricing structure may be as follows:

  • Requesting for an architectural feature 3D model (for any structured building or a large model) will be $500

  • Requesting for smaller sized 3D models (for any waypoint / sponsored feature) will be $200

These prices may be included in your licensing / set-up fees so if you are not sure please contact your Administrator or account manager for more information.
