In this article, users will create dictionary categories in PAM
Create Dictionary Categories
Before a user adds a destination dictionary item into PAM, the user will need to create Categories for their locations.
PAM recommends creating the following Destination Categories:

| 2 | BLDG | Buildings |
| 3 | AMENITIES | Amenities |
| 4 | PATHS | Road and Path Names |
| 5 | 3D | 3D Models |
| 6 | SIGNS | Digital Signs Identifiers |
| 7 | PARKING | Parking Lots |
PAM recommends creating the following Messaging Categories:

| 1 | SOS | Emergency |
| 2 | REG | Regulatory |
| 3 | INF | Information |
| 4 | BND | Brand |
| 5 | OTHER | Other |
Steps
1. On the PAM navigation board, click on Dictionary > Categories
2. At the bottom of the page, click on [+ADD CATEGORY] then click on Destination
3. Fill in code for the category identifier
This helps identify the description (i.e. For all Parking Lots, the Identifier is Parking)
4. Fill in the category description
5. Save changes

Create Destination Dictionaries: Once all categories have been created, the user will need to create Destination Dictionaries
Users have the option of adding destination dictionaries one by one or by bulk import into PAM.
