In order for a dictionary item to be added to a digital sign or a location in the map it needs to be approved. Once a dictionary item is applied to a location on the map OR a digital sign, to make changes to the copy you will need to perform a ‘Copy Change Request

How does Destination and Message Dictionary Approval Process work?

  1. As a user, you submit a copy change request for a dictionary item. Both changes to the Display Copy and Map Label Copy are required in this process.

    1. Display Copy is the copy that appears on digital signage

    2. Map Label Copy appears in eXplorer maps

  2. As an Approver you review any changes and how it effects signage listed in the Linked Assets List.
    This list shows which signs and in which scenes these changes will be seen.

  3. Once Approved the Changes can then be Applied and the process is complete.

Previewing Copy Changes

When viewing the dictionary item, the list inside Linked Assets is clickable, meaning that you can go straight into that sign to look at the content and the proposed changes.

Find a sign that contains the proposed requested changes. You can do this by referring to the linked assets section of the dictionary item you just edited or by clicking on a sign with an orange indicator on the map.

12. The approver will see that the proposed changes have already been submitted by the requester. They will now have to activate thered tick button both times to confirm the change. This will make it become a green tick button

13. You can see the green tick button appearing on both areas. This signifies that the changes have been enabled.
