How to configure search enhancements?

The way search enhancements is presented in Explorer, is influenced by the settings you choose to configure inside PAM OS. This means that the settings you activate for Interactive Kiosk, the same settings is applied in Explorer. Please click on the article below for a thorough explanation on working your way around search enhancements and applying changes to it. |
How to view Search Enhancements on Explorer

Accessing Quick Link Filters on Explorer
1. Once Explorer has loaded up on your smartphone, click the SEARCH tab
2. You can see which locations have been set to become ‘featured’ locations.

Featured locations are locations displayed instantly once a user goes into the search tab. You are able to add and remove ‘featured’ locations according to changing demand and availability. We recommend to only have 6 featured locations at any given time. |
3. This is the Quick Link filters section. If you you will immediately notice that the Quick Link Filters appear when you are viewing the map on the Explore tab
The Quick Link Filters is also viewable on the Search tab
2. If you were to click on a Quick Link filter (i.e. Click on a Parking the parking lot icon and it will show you all parking spots within the venue), you can see everything of one specific thing related to that icon appear all at once.

Why 7 Quick Link icons instead of 8? How do I know which icon won’t be shown? (SECTION TO BE CONFIRMED)
Since the Interactive Kiosk can show up to 8 Quick Link Icons at any given time, it will result in one less Quick Link icon being shown in Explorer as it can only contain a maximum of 7.

8. Coffee is now at the bottom. This will mean that if all eight filters are activated, Coffee will not be seen in Explorer when Quick Links are selected.

Clicking on a Featured Location

When you have allocated locations to be inside the ‘featured location' section in Explorer, you will notice that access to these locations is readily available.
We will give an example of what happens when you click on the location. We will click on Sofi Stadium and the image you see below is what you normally see when you search for a location and click on it to find out more information about it.

Viewing Popular Search History
When you use the search section to type in results, if the location exists then you will see results based on what you searched. If there are no results available, the page will return an empty listing and asks the user to try again.

The concept behind this is, is every time you search for a location and click on it, that will be remembered. When the user goes back into the search section, they can see the four most recent searches they have done while using Explorer. This will need to be the same Explorer link in order to generate the search history.
