Create Dictionary Categories
Before a user adds a destination dictionary item into PAM, the user will need to create Categories for their locations.
PAM recommends creating the following Destination Categories:

1. On the PAM navigation board, click on Dictionary > Categories
2. Click on [+ ADD CATEGORY] > Users have the option of adding a new category for 2 Dictionary two dictionary types, Destination and Messaging
Please refer to PRDCT - 68 What is Dictionary? to learn the difference between both types.

3. Add a category Identifier - A short code to Identify Category
(i.e. For all Primary Destinations, the Identifier is PRIMARY)
4. Fill in the category description, under the Description headingto explain what the Category is used for
(i.e. For all BLDG identifiers, the category description is Building)
For this example, we chose to create a Destination Category
. The same method can be applied to creating a Messaging Category.
5. Save changes
